Updates and additional information
We are excited to host the inaugural Montford Plein Air Painting Festival! Montford in the spring is stunning — cherry blossoms, redbuds, and blooming gardens with beautiful Victorian architecture as the backdrop. We hope you’ll enjoy your palettes as much as the scenery!
This is our first year organizing this event, and we’re learning as we go. Thank you in advance for your patience — we’re working hard to make everything run smoothly and give ourselves time to paint too! The festival is hosted by plein air painters, for plein air painters.

Neighborhood involvement
4
Montford residents care deeply about their homes and gardens, and we want to be respectful guests. We will be handing out neighborhood flyers ahead of time to let residents know that painters will be in the area, and to invite neighbors to the Sunday Wet Sale.
We’re also exploring a way for neighbors to signal that artists are welcome to paint their houses or gardens — so stay tuned!
Please remember:
Sidewalks, greenways, cemeteries, and parks are public spaces and great painting spots.
Be courteous about driveways, gardens, and private property unless invited.
